Warmest Greetings!
Hi! I am Dr. Danielle Lavallee.
I am a nutritional psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology and a masters in nutrition.
🌱
Nutritional psychology is the study of how what we eat impacts our cognition, our mood, and our risk for brain-based disorders like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's.
I created this site for people who are interested in improving their physical and cognitive health by transitioning to a plant-predominant diet.
Whole food, plant-centered diets have been shown to improve physical health and to reduce the risk of all our major lifestyle diseases, including obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.
🌱
Plant-predominant diets are also known to reduce depression and other mental health symptoms, to improve cognition, and to lower the risk of dementia and neurodegenerative disorders.
Do you have to give up meat
to eat plant-centered?
No, you do not!
Anyone can eat a
plant-predominant diet,
no matter what your protein
of choice may be.
🌱
All eaters are welcome here!
My goal is to show that eating for physical and cognitive health can be easy and delicious!
I hope the nutritional science, recipes, practical tips, and resources on this site will make your transition to a health-promoting, plant-rich diet a little easier.
🌱
Wishing you excellent health and happy eating!
Danielle
